Q-RAF (Quick Reference Analytical Facility) is a low-cost and quick-response analytical service aimed at assisting project managers, specialists and conservators in classifying, reporting and outlining a course of action regarding the nature and means of study and preservation of archaeological/historical materials.
We guarantee delivery of report within two weeks of receipt of sample
Q-RAF Analysis is suitable for:
Archaeological Materials (up to 3 samples)
Industrial Waste (up to 1kg)
Soils (up to 40 samples)
The Product - for Archaeological Materials and Industrial Wastes:
SEM-EDAX images.
A table of chemical analyses from SEM-EDAX analysis.
X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis for mineralogical identification (optional).
A short interpretative text.
The Product - for Soils:
Soil Phosphate & Loss on Ignition analysis.
Magnetic Susceptibility testing.
Chemical composition (optional).
